Dr.-Ing. Christoph Schmid
Christoph Schmid, born in 1959, holds a PhD in chemical engineering.
Since 1983, he has remained loyal to the field of combustion technology and, more generally, high-temperature process engineering:
After his research stay at the International Flame Research Foundation in IJmuiden/NL from 1983 to 1988, he obtained his doctorate at the Engler-Bunte-Institut (Karlsruhe/DE) on swirl burners and has also been active, since 1988, in the field of planning and implementation of thermal process plants.
He is (co-)inventor, among other things, of biomass gasification processes, pyrolysis processes, and processes and plants for sewage sludge incineration.
Since 2010, after positions at L&C. Steinmüller, DMT, Fichtner, among others, he has been self-employed.
In 2021, he transferred his professional activities to Infraskil GmbH, which he founded.
Since 2015, he has held a certificate as a Project Management Professional (PMP®).
Since 2019, he has been a publicly appointed and sworn expert (IHK Cologne) for industrial combustion systems and thermal treatment processes.
