Dr.-Ing. Hartmut Kroker
Hartmut Kroker studied mechanical engineering, specializing in materials engineering, in Hanover,
also earned his doctorate there in the field of welding technology,
and subsequently led the specialist department for non-destructive testing (NDT) for several years at the Official Materials Testing Institute Hanover,
obtained the SFI (Welding Engineer) qualification,
and, as an expert for high-pressure gas pipelines, supervised the construction of such pipelines in Lower Saxony.
After that, he worked in quality management in the fields of naval shipbuilding and land-based defense technology.
For the following 20 years, he worked in Kiel at Krupp Verkehrstechnik, Siemens Schienenfahrzeugtechnik, Vossloh Locomotives, Voith Turbo Lokomotivtechnik, and Frerk Aggregatebau as head of quality management, design, manufacturing, and after sales,
at some companies also as vSAP (responsible welding supervisor).
At Voith, additionally on a project in Russia (planning of a locomotive factory).
Since autumn 2013, he has been working as an independent business consultant for Toshiba Railway Europe and LKM GmbH in the areas of quality and project management, and as vSAP / deputy vSAP.
